HUMAN ERROR


Human Error Management (HEM) in the Data Center:  For years the industry has known that 70% of data center outages are caused by Human Error, yet none of the data center standards address this issue beyond a slight acknowledgement.  Or, there are some standards that focus on “operations” and believe they address Human Error, but they really don’t.  The first mistake in Error Management is the belief that error reduction is the focus.  It is not.  Error Management acknowledges that errors occur, and provides for “intervention strategy” to mitigate the error after it occurs.  GDCE are pioneers in this field, and continue to push the Human Error Management agenda, with the belief that outages caused by human error can be prevented.  Read More Here!
